Getting Started with Campaigns

Email campaigns let you send targeted messages to your contact lists. Whether you are sending a newsletter, product announcement, or promotional offer, campaigns give you full control over your messaging, timing, and audience. Each campaign tracks opens, clicks, and replies so you can measure what works and optimise future sends.

Creating a Campaign

To create a new campaign, go to Email > Campaigns and click 'New Campaign'. Choose your sending account, select a contact list, and pick a template or start from scratch. Write your subject line (keep it under 60 characters for best results), compose your email body, and preview it across desktop and mobile. You can save drafts at any point and come back later. Before sending, use the built-in spam checker to ensure your email passes common filters.

Scheduling and Sending

You can send campaigns immediately or schedule them for a future date and time. For the best open rates, consider your audience's timezone and typical email checking patterns. The platform supports timezone-aware scheduling so your email arrives at the right local time. You can also set up recurring campaigns for regular newsletters. Once scheduled, you can edit or cancel anytime before the send window opens.

Tracking Performance

After sending, monitor your campaign's performance in real time. Key metrics include: open rate (percentage of recipients who opened), click rate (percentage who clicked a link), reply rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate. Compare these against industry benchmarks shown alongside your metrics. The campaign dashboard shows a timeline of engagement so you can see when most opens and clicks happen. Export reports for stakeholder reviews.

Campaign Best Practices

For the best results: 1) Clean your list before sending — remove invalid and inactive contacts. 2) Personalise your subject lines with the recipient's name or company. 3) Send from a verified domain with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured. 4) Keep your email focused on one clear call to action. 5) Test with a small segment first if unsure about content or timing. 6) Monitor bounce rates after each send — high bounces damage your sender reputation.
