Getting Started with Email Accounts

Email accounts are the sending identities you use to deliver campaigns and sequences. Each account connects to an email provider (Gmail, Outlook, custom SMTP, or others) and sends emails on your behalf. Connecting multiple accounts lets you distribute sending volume, rotate senders across sequences, and maintain healthy deliverability. Every account also supports IMAP for inbox monitoring, so replies are tracked automatically.

Connecting an Account

To connect a new email account, go to Email > Accounts and click 'Add Account'. Enter your SMTP credentials — host, port, username, and password. For Gmail and Outlook, you can use app-specific passwords for added security. Optionally, add your IMAP credentials to enable inbox monitoring and reply tracking. The platform tests your connection before saving to ensure everything works. Make sure your domain has SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records configured — these authentication protocols are essential for reaching the inbox.

Managing Multiple Accounts

You can connect as many email accounts as your subscription allows. Each account shows its current status, daily sending volume, and warmup progress. Assign accounts to specific campaigns or sequences, or let the platform rotate between accounts automatically to distribute volume evenly. Set a daily sending limit per account to stay within your provider's thresholds. You can pause, edit, or disconnect accounts at any time. For team use, label each account clearly so everyone knows which account to use for which purpose.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If your account fails to connect, start by verifying your SMTP credentials — host, port, username, and password must match your email provider's settings exactly. Common issues include: using the wrong port (try 587 for TLS or 465 for SSL), not enabling 'less secure apps' or app passwords on Gmail, and firewall rules blocking outbound SMTP. If your account was working but stopped, check whether your provider has rate-limited or temporarily locked the account due to high volume. Re-test the connection from the account settings page. If problems persist, contact your email provider to confirm your account status, then reach out to our support team.
